As one of the most looked forward to festivals of the year in Austin, Texas, the Levitation Festival got it’s start as the Austin Psych Fest and made it’s own name for itself in 2015 by not limiting themselves to a specific genre or idea. “The goal of Levitation is to celebrate Psychedelic rock in it’s full range and history.” The Levitation Festival strives to keep the experience authentic and worth travelling for – so we decided to help you out with a guide on how to get tickets and to prepare yourself for the festival that is to come.
When can you buy?
In order to find out when tickets go on sale there are a few things you can do. One of them is to sign up for Levitation Festival’s email updates for the latest news regarding tickets, lineups, and more. Another thing to do is to follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter for more fun information about the upcoming festival.
As soon as tickets are on sale you’ll want to check out all your options so you can make sure you make the best out of your experience. Here are the different ticket types:
- 2-Day Weekend Pass
- 2-Day VIP Pass
- Friday Pass
- Saturday Pass
- Sunday Pass
- Individual show passes
Your ticket will need to be brought to the festival where you will exchange it for a wristband which will grant you entry into the festival and should not be removed at any time before the event is over.
For ease of access and at a great advantage to you, Levitation Festival offers camping a short distance from the festival gates and stages. There are a limited number of camping passes available each year. If camping is your desired way to go then you can purchase your camping pass here.
You can also rent a tent for the duration of the festival – the tent will be set up prior to your arrival and will be located in prime spots in the camping ground with easy access to all the camping amenities.
Another option is camping with a RV or vehicle. Everyone in the RV or camper must have a corresponding camping pass. Be advised that there are a limited number of RV spots with water and electric hookups so be sure to get your pass early.
Don’t want to camp out? No problem! There are dozen of hotels nearby for you to choose from. Levitation Festival has a group rate at Comfort Suites and anyone that mentions they are attending the festival will get discounted rates. Reservations must be made before March 29th in order to get the discount.
The shuttles to Levitation festival will do pick ups and drop offs at multiple airport hotels and downtown locations and is said to be improved from the previous years festival. More information about this will be released at a later time.
