Michelle Obama is touring for her memoir Becoming and tickets are on presale for Ticketmaster Verified fan today and on public sale tomorrow. How are you supposed to get your tickets? Let’s start with Verified Fan.
What is Ticketmaster Verified Fan? It’s Ticketmaster’s way to ensure real fans are getting presale passwords and not brokers. By registering during an allotted time period with your Ticketmaster account you are placed with many others who can have the possibility to be selected. If selected you will receive a unique code tied to your Ticketmaster account for you to use during the presale period. Registration period was earlier this week so it’s too late to get a unique code now. So now we move to the next step.
You’ve been selected, what do you do? Ticketmaster will send you an email with a few instructions followed by texts the night before your presale. These text messages will give you the link to where you need to purchase and the code you will use during the presale period. You’ll want to get to the presale early and enter the waiting room for a good spot in line. The earlier you enter the waiting room, the faster you can get your tickets, and the better the seats may be.
So you didn’t get selected, what now? It happens to everyone, even the most dedicated fans may not get selected, luckily there are a few options that you can go for in this case. First, you could wait for the public onsale, where the tickets that are left, plus a set aside allotment will become available to you. Just like for the presale, you will want to get in the waiting room as early as you can for the best tickets possible. Second, you can purchase your tickets on multiple secondary marketplaces like SuperSeats, StubHub, or VividSeats. It’s your choice as to where you buy, just be smart about finding the cheapest tickets!
Tickets are sold out? You still have the secondary market! There are bound to be tickets available there, and even if you hate to admit it, it’ll be the only way you’ll be able to get tickets. Once tickets are sold out, then there isn’t much else you can do on the primary marketplace.
