Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts – better known as Wolf Trap – got its start as a donation to preserve the Wolf Trap Farm from the ever growing city of Vienna Virginia. In 1966 it became the first national park for the performing arts, and in 2002 they changed the name from Wolf Trap Farm Park to Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts to reflect the significance of it’s presence.

Every year from May to September there are a run of performances in the Filene Center. Some of those performances get announced early, some later. Quite a few new shows have been announced and will go on sale to the general public on April 6th.
Wolf Trap members can purchase tickets to all Filene Center performances before the general public, meaning, once tickets officially go on sale, there might already be some slim pickings. So it’s kind of worth it to get a membership so you can get tickets before everyone else.
